Catch Up is a literacy intervention based in the UK. We are a small charity working in Education to improve the literacy skills of pupils who find reading difficult.
In May ’09 we ran a pilot study in Northern Tasmania involving teachers and teaching assistants from four local schools.
The training took place over four days at Tailrace centre. We have been enormously impressed at the quality of the training venue including the IT resources.
However, a comfortable training room with a delightful aspect were not the only outstanding features of this venue. The welcome and support we were given by David and his office staff  has been outstanding.  All our requests were met with unfailing courtesy and kindness and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
We feel we have travelled a great distance to be here in Tasmania to deliver our training but it was David who went the extra mile for us.
