a church planting movement amongst the unreached peoples of Northern India and surrounding countries such as Nepal and Tibet. North India is home to the largest concentration of unreached people in the world. Since 1998 Empart has been successfully planting local Indian churches with local church leaders. Traditionally known as ‘hard ground’, they have now seen over 2700 local churches birthed in places where the people had no previous access to the gospel, with another 3 churches per day currently being planted.
The goal for North India is to plant 100,000 churches.
New Directions is passionate about helping Empart achieve this goal. We love the combination of justice and the gospel. At the end of 2008 58,000 people had been baptized and are now experiencing life with Christ.
Whilst New Directions supports a number of projects we must always remember that our greatest support is partnership and therefore relational.
Projects that you can financially support and fundraise for:
- Tailoring Centre $3,750 a year
- To train 400 Women @ $125 per woman to sew so that they are empowered to bring in an income.
Rescuing the Orphans. Preventing Child Slavery!

Orphans need to be rescued by someone. If we do not rescue orphans we provide opportunity for evil to rescue them. 26 million children in India are unwanted and are calling the streets their home. In India millions of children are bonded into slavery to bring in income – stone quarries, rug manufacturing, sex industry. In our fight against darkness and evil rescuing India’s future is a strategic move. By supporting a Children’s Pastor we can facilitate the placing of children into families that will ensure that they become a part of India’s positive future and not a part of the world’s problem of tomorrow.
As a church we currently sponsor a child but we are looking to support Empart in different ways over the coming 3 years:
- Support a Pastor on a monthly basis @ $50 per month.
- Build a children's home. They cost $12,000.
- Empart Education Programme $25 per child to receive comunity based education.
Partner - Supporting the Infrastructure of Empart
Westerners always love the idea of giving to a cause but the cause always needs an infrastructure to ensure that the cause can occur. Until recently Empart has not charged any form of administration fee or levy to provide for administrative or infrastructure needs. Such needs however are huge. As a result, New Directions along with other partner churches and businesses have committed to ensuring that the infrastructure is resourced so that Empart can continue to see incredible results happening in the field.
New Directions tithes its income to Empart.
