Welcome to Girls Night In
Four times a year I champion a Girls Night In. 3 local Girls, 3 local Stories.
Because our stories need to be heard.
When we begin to listen to story we begin to see that we aren’t so different.
Social media, political correctness would have us believe that there is an us and a them.
When we gather at the table and sit across from one another we can’t help but say, “You too?”
Where we can log minutes with one another hearts and see that we aren’t so different.
That we are more than anti or pro towards an issue! We are souls.
“Your soul is the deepest thing about you. It is the eeriest, most evocative, sacred, eternal, life directing, fragile, indestructible and now days very controversial, part of your existence.” John Ortberg
Your soul is precious. Your soul has a story to tell, memories worth remembering, dreams worth working toward, a body worth feeding and a soul worth tending.
I want to hear the ordinary girl on the street, the raw, the young, the girl brimming with resilience and courage in the midst of hurry and hard. Who hasn’t made it big yet on Instagram or you tube.
I want to hear them describe their dream, their hope, their hard, their struggle. I want to clap their courage and resilience. To say, ” I see you and well done.”
I want to invite girls to the table. Hands passing bowls.
Knives and forks clinking against plates, bread being torn, laughter as stories old and new were weaved, the glow of candles, the connection of hearts.
