Dramatic Pampas Styling
Take a look at our dramatic, Egyptian inspired Styled Shoot!
Okay, so this one is a bit more of a Bonus styling. After shooting the Burnt Orange styling we posted last week we weren’t quite ready to pack it all away. Instead we switched out the orange table runner for a black one and switched the white ferns with fake pampas stalks. We loved how glamorous this looked. It’s kinda like a glamorous mix of Gatsby and Egyptian vibes!
Keeping It Simple…
When it comes down to it this is a rather simple styling. We wanted the big fluffy (fake) pampas grass stalks be to focus of the room. To be fair, it’s not exactly difficult to make them the feature of the room.
We loved the way the gold taper-candle holders and the black candles went with the pampas grass. I think the contrast between the two worked really well.
Picking Your Pampas…
Okay, so pampas grass is illegal in Tasmania, but Kmart is now selling fake pampas grass for $7 a stem. We got 8 because we were initially purchasing them for a photo backdrop which you can see on our insta here. We should’ve got 9 for the table set, so we could have 3 vases of 3. You definitely need 3 stems per bottle necked vase to create a full look and keep the stems standing upright.
